According to waterborne illness experts, COVID-19 is unlikely to be spread in float tanks, swimming pools or spas.
However, person to person interaction and surfaces that people come into contact with are a concern for spreading COVID-19.
Weightless is already a very low risk environment, but we have implemented extreme sanitation policies and procedures to make sure that we can continue to provide needed floats to our community.
We have staggered start times for floats so that not as many customers have to interact with each other.
We have ramped up our already thorough daily disinfection frequency of heavily touched items in our shop such as door handles, buttons, and countertops.
As always, we sanitize the rooms between every customer with an EPA approved disinfectant for killing COVID-19 (and viruses / bacteria in general).
Our employees are staying home if they feel any hint of symptoms.
Customers are required to stay home if they feel any symptoms.
Float tanks, and water in general, is not seem to be a means of transmission for COVID-19, but our float tanks are always disinfected with UV light, a 1-10 micron filter, and at least three full volumetric turnovers between every customer.
“the virus…is not spread in water, such as float water.”

“there is no evidence that covid-19 can be spread to humans through the use of pools and hot tubs.”
